James F. Robbins

President & CEO , Elastic Fabrics of America;
Chairman (2006-2007), National Textile Association.

After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Jim joined Milliken & Co. in 1978 and began his career in Sales. From 1985 to 1992 he was Business Manager for their Elastic Fabrics Business during which time the Company received the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award.

In 1992 Jim joined CMI Industries, Inc. to become Executive Vice President / General Manager of Elastic Fabrics of America, LLC and was made Executive Vice President of CMI and President of EFA in 1995. In 2002 he was appointed CEO and President of the newly formed Elastic Fabrics of America and is currently in that capacity.

Besides being a board member for the National Textile Association he sits on the Board of Directors for EFA Holdings LLC, Worldtex Inc., and DOGIEFA (Private) Limited.

Married for 29 years to his wife, Gigi, they have a 23-year old daughter who lives in New York City. In his spare time, Jim enjoys automobiles, golf, wine, and cooking.

Jim has served as in NTA leadership positions since 1990.
