Barry Ripley

Barry Ripley is the Finance Director of the National Textile Association, Boston, Massachusetts. In this position he is responsible for financial planning, budgeting and accounting for NTA and related entities, the American Flock Association and the Cashmere and Camel Hair Manufacturers Institute.

Mr. Ripley served as Executive Director of the American Flock Association from 2002 to 2007, with responsibility for the efforts of the association in industry promotion, governmental relations, international trade, technology advancement and assisting members with issues such as health and safety and intellectual property protection.

Prior to his work with NTA and AFA, Mr. Ripley was the President and CEO of Troy Mills, Inc. a leading supplier of nonwoven products to the automotive interior and engine filtration markets as well as contract, apparel, and industrial filtration markets. Under Ripley’s direction Troy Mills introduced many new automotive products such as luggage compartment trim, interior trim carpet, engine air intake filtration fabric and headliner fabric.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College and studied at Tuck School of Business after service in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He and his wife Carole live in Newport, R.I.
