Dan Pezold

Dan Pezold is the Senior Vice President of the Military/Government Fabrics Business Unit at Duro Textiles LLC.  Duro, founded in 1948, offers a complete line of finishes, coatings and prints for commercial, industrial and military fabrics. The company located in Fall River Massachusetts employs approximately 300 associates.

Dan has held various leadership positions in his nearly 10 years at Duro which include, Special Projects Manager, Chief Operating Officer – Handler Division, Vice President of Apparel Sales and Vice President of Specialty Products.  As Vice President of the Military Business Unit for the last 5 years, Dan’s level of responsibility has increased tremendously. Mr. Pezold was promoted to Senior Vice president at Duro in May of 2007.

Dan is also involved with the National Textile Association and presently serves as Chairman of the Government Textile Committee. Dan is well respected in the military community.   He is actively involved in the industry effort to improve the procurement process and has been part of the “Gang of Six” for the past 2 ½ years. Dan also plays an important role in the Fall River Community as a board member for the United Way of Greater Fall River.

Mr. Pezold started his business career in 1978 with Colgate Palmolive and worked for several other fortune 500 companies including Gerber Childrenswear and International Paper before joining Duro Industries in August of 1998. He received his MBA from Suffolk University in Boston MA in 1982 and his BSBA degree from Suffolk in 1978. Dan is married to his wife of 29 years, Patricia and they have two children: Mark age 22 a first year law student at Boston College Law School and Stephen age 20 a management major at Assumption College.
