Major General Arthur B. Morrill III

Vice Director, Defense Logistics Agency

Maj. Gen. Arthur B. Morrill III is the Vice Director, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va. The Defense Logistics Agency is responsible for providing the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and other federal agencies with a variety of logistics, acquisition, and technical services in peace and war. These services include logistics information; materiel management; procurement; warehousing and distribution of spare parts, food, clothing, medical supplies, construction and barrier materiel, and fuel; reutilization of surplus military materiel; and document automation and production. This worldwide mission is performed by approximately 21,000 civilian and military personnel.

General Morrill was commissioned in the Air Force in 1976 after completing Officer Training School, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Great Falls, received a master of public administration degree from Ball State University and has completed several post-graduate executive programs. General Morrill has held a variety of positions in the maintenance, supply, logistics, plans, programming and international affairs fields at the squadron, wing, center, joint task force, major command and Air Force headquarters levels. He has held command positions at the squadron and group levels.

Prior to assuming his current position, General Morrill served as Director of Logistics, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
