As president of C. W. Fifield Company was one of the organizers of the American Flock Association in 1985 and was an active member of the Association in its early years.

Age 83, of Hingham, May 6, 2007. Beloved husband of Shirley L. (Leupold) Martin. Devoted father of Ed and his wife Nancy Martin of Norwell, Bob and his wife Randie Martin of Medfield, David and his wife Cathy Martin of Hingham and Nancy and her husband Jon Goldberg of Kennebunk, ME. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Funeral Service in the House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 916 Main St., Hingham on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours in the South Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp), Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Interment High St. Cemetery, Hingham. US Army Air Force Vet WWII.
