George Gehring, president of Gehring Textiles and father of Skip Gehring, was hit by a van on December 27, 2001, as he was walking to Penn Station. He died shortly thereafter at Bellevue Hospital.
Mr. Gerhing was active in supporting an orphanage that provides shelter and comprehensive care for 12 to 14 year old single mothers. For those interested in making a contribution in his memory see the details below:
