J. Patrick Danahy

J. Patrick Danahy has extensive senior management-level experience in textile manufacturing and marketing, strategic planning, and in the formation and management of international joint ventures.

Danahy's career in the textile industry spans more than three decades, with 27 years of experience with Cone Mills, the world's largest producer of denim fabric and a major supplier of other apparel and home furnishing fabrics. As President and CEO of this US$ 800 million company, Danahy led the firm through a period of financial restructuring and global expansion, overseeing the repositioning of U.S. manufacturing facilities and the establishment of joint ventures and alliances in Mexico and India. From 1984 to 1989, Danahy served as President of Cone Finishing, a US$ 100 million division providing fabric finishing services to home furnishing and apparel markets.

Danahy also brings an extensive network of high level industry contacts in North America, having served as past President of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute and on the board of the Institute of Textile Technology and Compania Industrial Parras, S.A. de C.V. Since leaving Cone Mills, he has provided strategic counsel and market development assistance to the Morrison Textile Machinery Co. and Bowles Hollowell Conner (First Union Capital Markets Corp.). He also serves as Chairman of BlueBolt Networks, Corp., an e-commerce company serving the contract interiors market.

Danahy is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and received his MBA from the University of Virginia.
