The 2006 TechTextil Show and Symposium in Atlanta March 28-30 was well-attended, up-beat with especially good attendance. The National Textile Association participated in the TechTextil activities in several ways. Not only did it have a booth to advocate membership and its many benefits, it also used the booth as a place to meet current members and others in the industry that are associated with the textile business. NTA was invited to present a paper during the opening session of the Symposium series which ran for three days and included over 60 presentations from experts in the industry. NTA participated in the first general session and presented a paper on The Challenge Ahead – Where we are and where we are going. In summary, the show had an increase in attendance and vendors, and show traffic was larger than the previous TechTextil Show two years ago, while the interest level of participants seemed to be more focused.
