Resolution adopted by the Board of Government of the Northern Textile
Associaton at its meeting held in Boston, Massachusetts
on May Ninth, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-three
To Stanley Nehmer, whose good judgment, integrity
and intelligence have served the best interests of
the United States in the field of international
trade and domestic resources.
By his efforts he had created a better understanding
of the role of Government and of industry in the
making of international and domestic policy crucial
to the strength of the textile industry and the
security of its workers
He had pioneered in a field fraught with personal
political hazard and industrial misgivings and
mistrust. With honesty and understanding, he
has established credibility and instilled confidence.
His accomplishments of the past ten years in
controlling imports of textiles and apparel
have created new hope in the textile industry.
