NOT-TO-BE-MISSED GOVERNMENT TEXTILES PRESENTATIONS
The National Textile Association will present a program on the Department of Defense clothing and textile activities
on October 23 at the Association’s Annual Meeting in Greensboro, N.C.
The keynote presentation will be given
by Major General Arthur Morrill, vice director of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
DLA purchases approximately $2 billion of clothing and textile items annually. General Morrill has shown a clear understanding
of the clothing and textile procurement problems and is in a key position to address issues that have posed problems for the textile industry for years.
During the program, NTA’s Government Textiles Committee Chairman Dan Pezold, Duro Textiles, will provide an update
on the textile and apparel coalition’s 2-year program seeking improvements in the way DSCP does business. He will report on the
success to date and review the approach that will continue.
