Major General Arthur B. Morrill III Vice Director, Defense Logistics Agency.
DLA purchases approximately $2 billion of clothing and textile items annually. Major General Morrill has shown a clear understanding of the clothing
and textile procurement problems and is in a key position to address issues that have posed problems for the textile industry for years.
Other speakers and panelists
Brian A. Schooley, Major, USAF, Program Manager, Military Clothing will describe their clothing and
textile procurement system of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service
and their approach to providing US-made items.
Maria D'Andrea, Supervisor for the Eastern Hemisphere,
U.S. Dept. of Commerce Office of Textiles and Apparel, will speak on what the Department of Commerce is doing
to monitor Berry Amendment compliance.
Bill Kernodle, Site Director, Clemson Apparel Research will talk on "Textile-Based Supply Network Optimum Performance Roadmap."
Dan Pezold of Duro Textiles, chairman of the NTA Government Textiles Committee
will present the industry's progress on procurement activities by the "Committee of Six."
Dan's presentation will update us on the textile and apparel coalition’s two-year program seeking improvements in the way
DSCP does business. He will report on the success to date and review the approach that will continue.
